INTRO #3

November 29th, 2008

Sorry, its been a few days since my last post. I have just found out that you can actually make money by blooging. Wouldn’t that be convenient. I have been doing a little research, but to be honest with you I’m kinda scared to spend any money. I know they say it takes money to make money but I am fearful of being scammed. So if anyone else wants to try or recommend this product before I shell out feel free. I am in the process of completing this one and it is pretty informative. When I finish I’ll let you know how it is working for me, but I must say it has gotten me this far, which is far more than expected for a CPU novice like myself. So….back to my life.

So May 5,1992…..BOOT CAMP!  That was where I last left off. I joined the Navy and started boot camp on that day. Good stories from there I assure you. After a couple of months of becoming a man, I was shipped to my A-School in Virginia Beach, VA. After 3 months of A-school and partying…HIP-HIP off to my ship. I actually met my ship after a 3 week stay in Sigonella, Cicily, I was helicoptered right on to the ship. How Cool! I toured the Mediterranean for a few months before returning to Norfolk, Va. I actually got to visit some pretty cool places. Italy, France, Israel, Greece, and Spain. I’ll tell ya all about that later. Then due to a 3 month bout with Pneumonia I was released from the Navy in Aug. of 1994. I stayed in Norfolk for a couple of years after that. You see, I had reverted to my old ways. Not only was I still living the STREET lifestyle, I had now started a gang. We were up to about 35 people deep, and were well respected all over the area. I had some crazy people that I always surrounded myself with. But once again things got out of control. Time to jet.

After some close calls and a couple of broken noses I decided I was done with that life. I moved back to Texas. I spent a few months in Waco, Tx. Then I finally made it home to El Paso. My parents had FINALLY gotten a divorce (Dad in Waco—Mom in El Paso)Mom was sick and needed an operation and I wanted to be close by. So, I bartended in El Paso for about a year and a half at about every type of bar imaginable (Strip clubs, bowling centers, bars in Mexico (where I lived for 3 months), and a Casino.). Then I got hit with Criminal Identity Theft.

Apparently at one time or another my wallet had been stolen, and someone ended up using my ID in the commission of Multiple Felonies. I ended up losing my job due to a Criminal Background Check. It was a good job, too. I was managing 3 bars for a Casino on an Indian Reservation right outside of El Paso. I was making great money because above my salary I also bartended a cople of nights a week and made great tips. Alas, I was let go. They said I could re-apply after 6 months if I ever got this situation fixed. I STILL HAVEN’T There is alot of red-tape involved in removing false info off of your record. I will give you all the details at a later time. But I can assure you that having Evading Police, Possesion of a Stolen vehicle, Possesion of Narcotics, Armed Robbery, Participation in Organized Criminal Activity, and Capital Murder all on your Background Check can really screw you up employment wise. I have been fired during my first week of work for lying on my application more than anyone I have ever heard of.

I found that my mom was doing Okay and there was no reason for me to stay in this God-forsaken town. So, off I went. I had to keep under the Radar so I kept bartending and traveling. I did Houston,TX. , Austin,Tx., Albuquerque,NM., Charlotte,NC, and ended up right back here in Norfolk,VA. And that is when the next chapter of my SUPER-LONG-OVER-INFORMATIVE-INTRO will pick up next.

Intro #2

November 18th, 2008

So, Where did I leave off? Oh yeah, so I left El Paso (good riddance) I didn’t really like being a Mexican anyways. I mean they are good people with a rich culture and a beautiful language but try as I might I never really fit in. I went on a road trip with Lexington,Ky as my final destination. But that didn’t really work, I made a pit-stop at my uncles house in the Arkansas boonies with a gang-banger buddy of mine named THUMPER. My uncle saw us as poor lost souls and was gonna make men out of us. So we hung out for a few months, then I got kicked out for not being redneck enough, but they kept my Hispanic buddy. They actually put him through college and he lived there for another 4 years. During my time there I had few other options so I joined the Miltary but I wasn’t to go to bootcamp until May of the following year. So off to Lexington (where my grandparents still lived) to wait it out until May.

I LoVED Lexington. I had a decent job as a produce person at a grocery store, dated fairly often, and loved my life at home with my grandparents. Now my Grandfather(PAPAW), was not only a Pastor, but a pretty famous one. In fact he was Vice-president of the ABA(American Baptits Association) and a well respected Christian author, and unlike my POPS he actually practiced what he preached. So I stayed out of trouble so as not to embarrass him. Plus I was tired of trouble. While I was there my papaw took a job in Hatiessburg, Miss. where he was a pastor and Dean of a seminary. So off I moved again. Only 3 months til boot-camp. Hattiesburg was cool, but not too much to mention. But I’m sure I have a couple of stories from that era as well. Then in May of that year I went in to the Navy. And that is where I will leave off for now. Sorry, this intro is way longer than expected. I should be able to wrap this stuff up in the next couple of postings then we’ll get to the good stuff. Sound like a plan?

By the way I just purchased this new product since my 4 year old is always hogging the TV, if you have a similar problem you should check this link out!

Introduction (part 1)

November 17th, 2008

Okay, check this out. I realize that for my stories to appeal to you the reader, you need to know a little about me. This will you give you more insight as to where these stories come from. Like I said, as of now they will come in no particular chronological order, just from which ones I feel like sharing on any particular day. So with that in mind I will give you a quick overview of my life, the stories will then fill in the blanks. Does that sound reasonable to you? Alrighty then…..AWAY WE GO!

I was born in the great state of Arkansas. I lived way out in the boonies where there was a church every couple of miles and a preacher behind every tree. My dad, was one of those Baptist types of preachers and my mom was a PK(preachers kid) herself. For about the first 5 years of my life we moved around a lot, from church to church, and wherever we went we brought our mobile home with us. My dad would get a new pastor gig, and we would just park our trailer in a clear spot somewhere near the church, and that would be home. We wouldn’t even take the wheels off.(RED_NECK) When I was 2 my younger sister was born legally blind. Then after my kindergarten year, my dad decided to start a Mission in Frankfort,KY. Close to where my mothers parents lived in Lexington. They actually set us up with a house so we left the trailer in Ark. And I think its still there in the same spot.

Kentucky was cool. We lived right outside of town, and the church was actually held in our basement. How weird, but that was life. I was always an athlete, and I played all sports. I had good friends. I was an excellent student. I was in gifted programs. I had now a new baby sister, and life was good. Until….. My dad decided that he needed to preach the gospel to them “poor heathen Mexicans”. This was in the 70’s and my dad wasn’t too bright about the world, coming from the small country world he was from. So, off to the barrios of El Paso, Tx. we went right when I was to start 5th grade.

El Paso was a culture shock to say the least. I was pretty much the only white boy in the hood, and I was a PK. Which meant I got beat up A LOT. The way my dad was programmed, I was not allowed to run, so a fighter I became (tons of stories). I still played all sports, but had a hard time with getting much playing time due to the fact that I didn’t speak Spanish like my coaches and team-mates. Even though I mostly attended Christian schools, I started spending a lot of time on the streets and the lifestyle fascinated me. By the time I was 16, I was running the streets, had moved out, and had been jumped in to a neighborhood gang. I lived in a detached garage behind a HUGE family of illegal aliens during my junior and senior years of high school. But, I still finished H.S. with a 3.7 GPA, living on my own and working nights. Eventually, due to violence that seemed to follow me, my parents asked me to get out of town before I or one of my family members got really hurt or dead. And this is exactly where I will pick up at my next posting……….C-YA!
